What are the payment terms for your wedding venue?

When you tour our beautiful outdoor rustic venue, your coordinator will explain the various packages and options that we have for you. She can provide you with the details as well as the costs for each wedding package. When you have made your selection, she will create a custom agreement that you can sign digitally.

In order to secure your date, we typically require a signed agreement and 25% of your wedding package total. However, we can also customize your payment plan for monthly recurring payments as part of your agreement if desired. Your entire venue rental fee will need to be paid in full no later than 60 days prior to your wedding. Our onsite wedding vineyard guesthouse can be booked separately through VRBO, and we recommend you book it at the same time you sign the agreement for your wedding and reception.

Rough and Ready Vineyards is a popular venue for brides seeking both an outdoor rustic venue as well as a vineyard wedding site, so be sure to stay in touch with your coordinator as you are making your decision. Dates can go quickly, especially for the most popular outdoor Nevada County wedding dates which are typically in May, June, and October. Other months are just as beautiful and special, but these are the three months that seem to be highest in demand in our foothill community.

In the wedding industry, it is standard practice that venue fees are non-refundable should your plans change. That is true with our venue as well. With your booking, we are holding your date for you, and turning away other couples who inquire about the same date. Should you be concerned about your plans changing, we suggest you look into event cancellation insurance. It is a separate policy from event liability insurance, and it covers a variety of occurrences that some couples have encountered. Please note, should your wedding plans change, we will do our best to work with you in changing your date in accordance with our signed agreement.

When you are ready to reserve your date and “Say I do to the wedding venue Rough & Ready Vineyards”, let your coordinator know right away so she can secure your wedding and reception date for you! It may take a day or two to prepare your contract and receive it back, but during that time it will be held for you. Whatever you do, keep your coordinator informed. It can be heartbreaking to hear that someone else swooped in and is now planning their wedding on your special day.
