Even though your wedding photographer will capture all of the moments during your wedding day, it’s nice to have a photo booth at your reception to give guests a chance to strike a pose for some fun candid memories. Wedding receptions can often be reunions for friends, and having an on-site activity that’ll help your guests commemorate the day with keepsake photo strips is a great idea! When it comes to renting a photo booth that fits your wedding theme and design, the options are unlimited.

They wanted to have a great photo booth to capture memories with their friends and family. After all, it’s a great way to provide guests with a photo keepsake and memorable images for them as well.
Eric and Janal concluded that the typical booths leave something to be desired. Instead, they wanted something that added to the décor of their reception, something with a personality all its own. To this end, they started a photo business, Bay Area Fotowagen.
As Eric and Janal were working on the restoration of their little VW Beetle, they decided to merge their love for the awesome and quirky Volkswagen community with their need for a photo booth. It wasn’t long before they added Adeline, their charming 1971 VW Microbus, to the family. They worked to create something that they would be proud to have on the most important day of their lives.
Now they’re eager to share her with Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area to help other couples make memories that will last a lifetime! Eric and Janal pride themselves on being dedicated, professional, flexible, caring, and kind.
With Eric’s master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Janal’s A.A. in Interior Design and B.S. in Business Management, their backgrounds contributed to the creation and operation of the business. Eric takes pride in maintaining and updating the bus as a vehicle and keeps them on the road. At the same time, Janal enjoys focusing on the interior and making the booth as functional and beautiful as she can.

They love when they can bring their dog Arya along on their adventures. They also really enjoy traveling. Eric and Janal were lucky to squeeze in a big trip right before the pandemic early in 2020 and have been trying to enjoy traveling to different parts of California during the last year.
Their advice to engaged couples is to “Enjoy the wedding planning process and the day of and hire professionals to help you out if you can. So much easier to rely on somebody who knows what they are doing and has done it a millions times before.”
“Oh, and take a honeymoon right after the wedding if possible. So nice to spend time with your partner after all of the stress of planning a wedding!”
